Practicing Evangelists: As servants for Christ and practicing evangelists we believe we should all do personal evangelism
nearly every time we leave our homes. We also believe we should spread the gospel on a much larger scale through our 14 (+) special events. We train other laborers and go to
where the people assemble, such as fairs, festivals, carnivals, and other special events. These become our “Proving Grounds” where those who want to learn
evangelism can come and learn how to effectively share their faith.
We invite you to support us whether as a laborer by calling and signing up for a shift to witness, and/or in prayer and/or through financial giving.
Training and Methods, Learn How To: Be motivated by the passion of Christ
- Become fishers of men - Reach the heart using the Good Person Test - Use creative and colorful tools that will draw a crowd - Present and proclaim the
Gospel the way that Jesus did - Teach and train your congregation to seek the lost rather than programs and procedures
to avoid the Laodicean lifestyle. Statement of Faith:
- There is one infinite eternal God who exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, who has manifested Himself to mankind,
as is infallibly documented in the Bible.
- The Old and New Testament constitute the written Word of God, fully inspired as originally given.
- Man was created in the image of God, but fell into sin through disobedience, thereby incurring physical and spiritual death; and
the natural unregenerate man is now under the wrath of God.
- Jesus Christ, co-eternal and coequal with the Father and the Holy Spirit,
was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, was crucified, died, and was buried, and rose again from the grave on the third day,
ascended back into heaven to sit at the right hand of God from whence he shall return to Earth.
- Man is justified by grace through faith by accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as personal Savior, not from works of the law.
- There remains final judgment, which will determine our eternal blessing or our eternal separation from God: a heaven to gain, and
hell to shun.
- All Christians are under obligation to seek the evangelism of the world, and to receive from God divine power for this task.
History and Organization:
Wayside Harvesters, Inc. is a non-profit 501(C)(3) organization established in 1958 and run by a Christian Board of Directors, whose
purpose is to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ both locally, regionally, and throughout the world (Acts 1:8) Its mission to reach the lost and train up the laborers is
accomplished through evangelism, training, and tract distribution at festivals, fairs, and special events.
Over the years, with help of hundreds of Christian volunteers (laborers for Christ), Wayside has witnessed to hundreds of thousands of people and had led many in prayerful
decisions to turn their lives over to Jesus Christ. This has involved handing out thousands of Bibles, and over 1 million of our gospel tracts.
